The Word of the Lord displays a beautiful picture of divine intervention in our everyday life battles

...And Moses said to Joshua, "Choose us some men and go out, fight with Amalek. Tomorrow I will stand on top of the hill with the rod of God in my hand." Exodus 17:9

The Battle Field 8

The word of the Lord displays a beautiful picture of divine intervention in our everyday life battles.

No.1
Israel was attacked by Amalek because of their relationship with God.
Let us stop going around looking for trouble but let trouble find us in the sweet presence of our Maker.

No.2
Some men are fighting Amalek in the valley, while some at the hill top interceding, engaging God on behalf of the nation.
We must discover God's plan for us as individuals, not all of us are cut out to be on top of the hill like Moses, Aaron and Hur. Most of us are called and designed to hold a front line fort in battle. We can only triumph, find peace, satisfaction and fulfillment when we linger around the presence of God to discover our true position in the battle of Life.

I wonder what would have happened if Joshua said to Moses, 'No Sir, with all due respect, its my turn to go on top of the hill and intercede, you go and fight.'

The disaster we see in political arena, and in church systems would have manifested there. We have failed dismally in being followers, now we think we'd be better when we lead. The ones leading think less of the of the ones following. Joshua would not succeed without Moses, and Moses as well. He would have been killed had it not for Joshua in the valley, fighting Amalek.

No.3
No man nor woman can lead alone, you need a support system; that when anxiety, depression, fatigue, burn out attacks, you have the right wife, right children, right company that God can use to support you. For if there is no support, Amalek will defeat your family, defeat your ministry, your calling and wipe out the nation.

No.4
When Moses' hands were lifted up to God, Joshua would defeat Amalek. However, when Moses was tired to lift up his hands to the Lord, Amalek would defeat Israel. This picture happened the whole day my friends.
So Joshua depended on Moses on hill to defeat Amalek.

Indeed discover your position in battle. Are you a hill top man or women of God or a battle field front line person.

Before I close, let me introduce a man that was hanged on top of the Hill for our deliverance, for our Salvation, for us to find peace in battle, for us to win the battles of life in all its forms, for us to defeat Amalek, in social ills form, political form, and economical form, the man is Jesus of Nazareth

Whatever battle you are facing today, no matter how impossible it looks in your naked eye. I present to you Jesus. The Moses of our time, who does need Aaron or Hur, whose hands do not get tired to be raised to God on your behalf. You won the battle yesterday and met your family last night, for He did not get tired. Look up to Him, He is excels in whatever that is impossible.

Linger around His presence and be at peace.
